  • Overview

    The Financial Coordinator is a data driven numbers ninja with the determination to make his or her team successful. With an analytical mindset and passion for working with numbers, he or she directly supports the Financial Analytics team in preparing reporting to deliver to production teams. The Financial Coordinator reviews detailed information, analyzes data in terms of specific business goals, and displays findings in simple, meaningful, actionable formats consistent with our brand. He or she consistently looks for creative ways to refine tools that will benefit our clients.

    Responsibilities

    ANALYTICS

    • Obtains claim data from carrier and/or third party administrator in order to completely monthly and quarterly claim reports
    • Maintains a reporting schedule and tracking system to ensure that all client reports are being completed in a timely manner
    • Works with direction from the Financial Analyst to develop and implement analytical tools
    • Prepares accurate and timely claim reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis
    • Creates customized benchmarking reports based on the clients need
    • Assists in creating total compensation statements
    • Demonstrates an understanding of utilization patterns, large claim impact analysis, trending, and other analytic tools
    • Takes initiative to research and learn new projects

     

    EXECUTION OF CLIENT SERVICE

    • Supports Account Managers, Producers, Account Executives and other internal department members to flawlessly execute Assurance’s service strategy for each client, designed to create measurable value and efficiencies in their businesses
    • Processes plan changes, as needed or requested by the client, checking for consistency and documenting in the appropriate system
    • Builds personalized client relationships through demonstrated understanding of the service plan and multiple channels of communication such as phone email and in-person meetings
    • Leverages insurance knowledge and communication skills to explain coverage terms, program options and other items to clients as needed
    • Works with internal departments to ensure cohesiveness and timeliness of service execution
    • Manages time effectively to prioritize workload, client service requests and service parameters on business processes

     

    PEER RELATIONSHIPS

    • Provides feedback and shares information at team meetings
    • Participates in ongoing scheduled meetings with service team to discuss accounts, renewals, service needs, service platform, etc.
    • Develops successful working relationships with Producers, Account Executives, Account Managers, service team members, managers, carriers and members of other departments
    • Communicates effectively with Financial Analytics team and provides timely and complete information to allow them to effectively manage service execution

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED: 

     

    • Microsoft Excel advanced skills

     

    PREFERRED:

    • BS/BA in business, finance or related field
